HOW TO CREATE A HOMEMADE SCALE?

The situation we are living in makes it difficult for us to use real scales in our homes to measure the mass of objects but...
here's an idea to create a simple scale!

With this scale you will not be able to measure the exact amount of mass an object has, but you can use objects, toys or food you have at home to check which one has more mass. you can investigate!

MATERIALS:

- a hanger

- a small handsaw (or any other tool)

- 6 strings / shoelaces / pieces of wool / pieces of yarn of the same length.

- 2 plastic bottles / 2 plastic cups

- scissor

- one marker

- adhesive

one screwdriver

- 2 or 4  elastic rubber band / hair rubber bands (it is better to have 4 in case one breaks)

In this document you will find written the steps that you have  to follow for doing the scale. It may help you

Now, compare the mass of different objects that you have at home. use this document to write the results.
